چکیده

Pineapple [Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.] is popular all over the world for its pleasant aroma, sweet-acidic taste and smooth pulp texture. It third most important fruit on basis of global trade after banana citrus. The present investigation was carried out in 2014–16 to assess growth behaviour performance different pineapple varieties like Kew, Queen, Mauritius, Haricharanvita, Baruipur Local, MD-2, MTS, Amritha northern parts West Bengal. experiment laid Randomized Block Design (RBD) successive two years. indigenous Haricharanvita variety showed maximum vigour terms plant height, leaf length canopy spread. numbers leaves were recorded Kew followed by Queen. Maximum area also suckers produced Mauritius Local. exhibited earliest (325.75 days) flowering (98.34%), required lowest time (109.45 maturity compared assessed. Indigenous Local delayed lesser percentage with longest time. Highest yield (without crown) (89.70 t/ha), (57.54 while it (31.00 t/ha). Among physico-chemical parameters, highest (62.70%), TSS (18.10obrix), total sugar (12.87%), ascorbic acid (45.52 mg/100g) content, TSS: ratio (28.14) peel (17.82%) crown (17.79%) content. studied, found be best table purpose under part Bengal

In vitro Environmental Factors Controlling Root Morphological Traits of Pineapple (Ananas comosus L. Merr)

Abstract—Developing our knowledge of when pineapple roots grow can lead to improved water, fertilizer applications, and more precise culture management. This paper presents current understanding of morphological traits in pineapple roots, highlighting studies using incubation periods and various solid MS media treated with different sucrose concentrations and pH, which directly assess in vitro ...

Studies of stability and characterization this enzyme bromelain in pineapple (Ananas comosus)

Background Bromelain is the generic name given to the set of derived endopeptidases belonging to members of the Bromeliaceae family, which belongs to the pineapple (Ananas comosus), being able to break the peptide bond, separating proteins and amino acids [1]. Bromelain possesses a wide range of therapeutic benefit as property of facilitating digestion of proteins, meat softening, ability to fa...

Purification, characterization, and antifungal activity of chitinases from pineapple (Ananas comosus) leaf.

Three chitinases, designated pineapple leaf chitinase (PL Chi)-A, -B, and -C were purified from the leaves of pineapple (Ananas comosus) using chitin affinity column chromatography followed by several column chromatographies. PL Chi-A is a class III chitinase having a molecular mass of 25 kDa and an isoelectric point of 4.4. PL Chi-B and -C are class I chitinases having molecular masses of 33 k...

Genomic Survey, Characterization, and Expression Profile Analysis of the SBP Genes in Pineapple (Ananas comosus L.)

Gene expression is regulated by transcription factors, which play many significant developmental processes. SQUAMOSA promoter-binding proteins (SBP) perform a variety of regulatory functions in leaf, flower, and fruit development, plant architecture, and sporogenesis. 16 SBP genes were identified in pineapple and were divided into four groups on basis of phylogenetic analysis. Five paralogs in ...

Characterization of Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxykinase from Pineapple Leaves Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.

Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase has been partially purified from pineapple (Ananas comosus [L.]) leaves. Specific activities obtained show it to be a major activity in this tissue. Above 15 C, the respective activation energies for decarboxylation and carboxylation are 13 and 12 kcal/mol. Below 15 C, there are discontinuities in Arrhenius plots with an associated large increase in activation ...
